Phono Google Chrome Extension

May 11th, 2011 by cmatthieu

Check out our new Phono Chrome Extension!  It’s our first step into App market!  You can install the Chrome Extension in seconds from the Google Chrome Webstore and it adds our jQuery-based SIP softphone to your browser with a shortcut icon near the address bar.  Clicking on the Phono icon in the browser, opens a telephone window that allows you to place and receive both FREE SIP calls as well as FREE real phone calls to any North American phone number for 10 minutes!  The black address in small print is the actual SIP address of your PhonoPhone which can be called by any softphone or SIP-based phone system in the world!

The Phono Chrome Extension also looks for North American phone numbers on web pages that you visit and adds a link around the number. When the phone number is clicked, Phono opens in a little window and autodials the number clicked!  This comes in really handy for making quick phone calls for dinner reservations or for ordering pizza!

Best of all, we opensourced the Phono Chrome Extension on Github – Hoowah!
